License Activation

005: License Activation

Alert
You must be connected to the Internet to activate a license.

Click on the multi-menu button  to open the license activation window. You will always be able to immediately determine if your license is valid by viewing the window.

If the Activate and Portal buttons are as shown above, you are not valid or have not activated a license yet. You can stay in demo mode forever, but you will only be able to view the first 12 rows of trades in the database, no matter how many different accounts you setup. This allows you to test the application by entering a few buy, sell, options, etc. to get a feel of how the application operates without having to subscribe.

When you subscribe, be sure to hold on to your receipt. Your license key is your Subscription ID (SID) located at the top of the invoice. If you do not receive the invoice within a few minutes you can also view your SID within the billing portal. If this is your first visit to the billing portal, you will need the e-mail you used in the subscription process. It will ask you to signup and from there you will see your SID/KEY.

Once you have activated, if you revisit the activation window, it will now show:

When you see green, you're good-to-go! If you click on Portal, it will take you to the billing portal. If you allow your subscription to laps, it will eventually revert back to demo mode.

THINGS TO KNOW:
  1. Make sure your subscription is set to auto-renew or you will have to visit the portal before every expiration
  2. You're subscription starts on the day you subscribe, not the day you activate the license within Stocklog+
  3. You can use Stocklog+ without Internet access for a while, but eventually it will revert back to demo mode unless it can validate
  4. If it's stuck in demo mode, try closing the application, verify you're connected to the Internet and start again
  5. You may need to reinitialize the license. Contact support by opening a ticket to let us know the details.
