How to add accounts to Stoclog+

006: Add Accounts

Right-Click in the account list area and choose New/Mod Account:

0: Account Name: Descriptive name of your choice
1: Account Number: Use the account number assigned by your broker, this number can not be changed once submitted
2: Starting Balance: Any number you want to use to start your account. Note: Summary statistics are calculated using this number. You should try to get this number correct or you will see odd percentages. If you don't know it, enter 0 and then come back to modify later.
3: Broker Name: Stocklog+ contains over 100 broker names, once you choose a broker it can not be changed. If you can't find yours, choose UNKNOWN and submit a ticket to have it added. Institutions with multiple divisions have been reduced down to one, i.e. ACME LLC, ACME Holdings, ACME International -> ACME LLC
4: Capital Gains Tax: Long & Short rates depending on trade hold time. In the U.S. for most, if held longer than 365 days  -> 15 and held under 365 days -> 20
5: Active Toggle: You can activate/deactivate at any time. Deactivated accounts will not show in drop-down list
6: List of Accounts: All accounts created including inactive. Use this to select an account to modify. See immediately below:

Once you add an account, you can always find the account number by hovering over the name in the drop down:
